An evening with local singers, songwriters and creatives. Supper included in the ticket.
Come and join us in the atmospheric surroundings of Lanercost Priory Cumbria. Come and hear emerging artists perform. Echo Events welcome Asha Nicholson, Chloe Cacau, Eve Dodds, Savanna Evans and DJ Imogen who will be curating an enchanting night of midsummer music and feasting.
A bit about our creatives…….
Asha draws inspiration from the Cumbrian landscape she inhabits, blending shadows and song, acoustic and electronic, to create ethereal yet haunting compositions which have drawn comparisons to the likes Electronica alt-rockband Portishead, and the ambient folk of experimental musician Grouper.
Chloë Cacau is a vocal improviser who weaves poetry, jazz and the musicality of capoeira, the Brazilian art form she grew up with, to create unique improvised performances.
Eve Dodds – Eve, a British Designer, from Cumbria with a first class degree in Interaction Design Arts from University of the Arts London.
Eve has worked with the Science Museum in London designing exhibits for their Lates evenings, and work through visual communication, film, physical making, sound and performance. She aims to create meaningful work that does something good for people. Whatever form that may take….Oh and she has a beautiful voice (see soundcloud below)!
Savanna Evans is part of our Echo Events Team, is a poet, singer and muse. She has been writing for a number of years and her poem On a Day Like This, was be performed at Greenwich and Maryport and published in the Time and Tide anthology.
Savanna reads her poem ‘Shally Means Home’ at the Carlisle Poetry Symposium held at Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday 1st October 2022. https://youtu.be/pPP_hnNEdqQ?si=BMoP1h0iv94-f_eV
