Summer Solstice Jazz and Soul

It’s a vintage kind of vibe with three great bands to get you in the groove.

The Kirkby Jazz Kollective are a talented band from Kirkby Lonsdale. A true community music group inspired by jazz. Wonderful sound and refreshing rhythms.

The Chet Set with American trumpet player and vocalist Pete Tanton will also be playing on the big blue top marquee stage alongside pianist Alan Law, bassist Mick Shoulder and drummer John Bradford to bring jazz fans some Chet Baker classics. The Chet Set is jazz of the highest order, not to mention great entertainment. These guys are a welcome addition to our already great lineup.

Soul Junction are a brassy, sassy seven-piece Cumbrian Soul and Motown band, with male and female vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, trumpets and sax; together they play the very best live Soul and Motown dance music.

Great local Food vans including Landy Chef who will thrill and delight with his menu and licensed bar all evening.

Echo Events has built on from the wonderful midsummer music event last year in June. This time we’ve added

a Big Blue Top marquee to our venues thanks to Roaming Tent Co. This event will be on the Lanercost Cricket Field with it’s amazing backdrop of Hare Hill, nestled in the valley of the Irthing River.

Under 16’s go free when accompanied by an adult.
