DESCRIPTION:Join us at Lanercost Priory on Sunday 7th September\, 3–6pm for a powerful and contemplative performance by Kenneth Wilson\, cellist and poet\, as an addition to his Pilgrim Cello 2025 journey — cycling to all 42 English cathedrals. \n“Meditation on the Seven Last Words of Jesus” blends the transcendent beauty of Bach’s cello suites\, Wilson’s own reflective poetry\, and seven abstract paintings by Gillian Lever\, each capturing one of Jesus’s final sayings from the cross — words of forgiveness\, salvation\, relationship\, abandonment\, distress\, triumph\, and reunion. \nSet in the sacred stillness of Lanercost Priory\, this unique experience invites deep listening and quiet contemplation.
