Drawing inspiration from nature\, literature and her travels\, Sanderson’s haunting melodies and poetic lyrics mesmerise and enchant\, with transportive effects on listeners. \nHer new album\, Old Light\, has been described as “uplifting and gentle” (NARC)\, “articulate and ethereal” (Rocking Magpie)\, and “melodically divine” (BBC Introducing). Harmonies are central to their sound\, be they haunting\, or perhaps more raucous. The combined instrumentation\, just like Nana Bainbridge’s recipe book\, the raw materials meet in a melting pot\, to entice the ears.
